We welcome you to the Vocations Website of the Catholic Diocese of Toowoomba
Every member of the Church is called to holiness (Lumen Gentium, Ch V). This means we are called to love: to love God and to love each other. The particular way that you live out that call to holiness is your vocation.
Any specific call or vocation requires discernment. If you feel that you may be called to be a priest, to follow a consecrate life, to be married or even a single life, do not be afraid to take the first step to gain clarity and direction in your choice.
In other words, your vocation deserves much thought, care, and consideration. It is something you should pray about and contemplate as a mystery and as an invitation.
A good first step to take is to make contact with a Vocation Director. The role of the Vocation Director is to assist you and provide you with guidance and materials to help you discern effectively.
Be patient and wait upon the Lord. Discerning your vocation is a process. God’s timing is both perfect and beyond our understanding. What is your calling?
